The National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE) at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) works with experts from industry, government, and academia to address businesses’ most pressing cybersecurity problems with practical, standards-based solutions using commercially available technologies. NextLabs is a proud technology contributor and participant of NIST's National Cybersecurity Excellence Partnership (NCEP) program and is working closely with the Center of Excellence on a series of new initiatives.
The eXtensible Access Control Markup Language (XACML) is a widely recognized OASIS standard for authorization. XACML provides a system architecture for modern authorization systems and describes how applications and various systems interact with the authorization system. NextLabs is a contributing member of the OASIS XACML Technical Committee and has been leading the definition and development of several of the standard profiles.
The OpenAz effort under Open Liberty and Apache defines an open source standards-based model and programming framework to enable applications and other systems to natively interact with an external XACML and ABAC-based authorization and policy engine. NextLabs is a contributor to the OpenAz effort and has developed a portable interface for performance intensive and mission critical systems.
The Identity Defined Security Alliance (IDSA) is a group of identity and security vendors, solution providers and practitioners that acts as an independent source of education and information on identity-centric security strategies. As an IDSA member, NextLabs helps provide organizations with practical guidance, implementation best practices and validated solutions to reduce the risk of a breach.
The Transglobal Secure Collaboration Program (TSCP) is setting the industry standard for secure collaboration, information sharing, and identity assurance. As members of TSCP, NextLabs recognizes the role TSCP plays in developing and deploying secure information-sharing solutions in highly sensitive environments and contributes to the definition, development, integration, and adoption of TSCP standards.
