The IT System Administrator will be responsible to provide consistent network and computer system administration, to include implementation, technical assistance, customer service and support; training and guidance; communications; desktop, servers, Internet/Intranet, software and related security.

Responsibilities

  • To Lead / Co-lead in planning and implementing, developing, testing and support the IT application and systems for head office and all branches
  • Administer, maintain and support internal and cloud infrastructure consisting of Windows Active Directory spanning across the US, China and South East Asia Region
  • Experience working with cloud provider is a plus
  • Operate, deploy, and enhance components of our ecosystem such as Load Balancers, Firewalls, CI/CD rigs, orchestration, security infrastructure, monitoring and alerting tools, etc
  • Serve as the escalation point for technical support issues
  • Focus on and responsible for troubleshooting support to include; software, network, server, and workstation problem resolutions and support for upgrades and patches
  • Monitoring, reporting and troubleshooting of all assigned equipment, systems, applications, and all associated systems
  • Performs preventative maintenance and manage problem resolution and upgrades
  • Escalate and route calls and tickets to different level support per defined processes
  • Provide 24/7 support and resolution on critical production issue, and problems
  • To enforce security policies and standards
  • Responsible for technical documentation of the IT systems
  • Develop training materials and procedures to train users in the proper use of hardware and software and instruction for system users on operating systems, relational databases, and other applications; assist users in maximizing use of networks and computing systems to ensure consistency in all office locations
  • Conduct various training as required on supported systems, equipment, and applications
  • Vendor management: Negotiate and administer vendor, outsourcer and consultant contracts and service agreements
  • Provide customer and personal service to end user in multiple locations. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
  • Ensure that SLA for our 24/7 production and supporting environments is maintained
  • Contribute to and maintain process and compliance documentation for the SaaS team
  • Continually seek opportunities to improve SLA/Uptime and minimize customer impacts
  • Keep customers informed about impending maintenance window, software deployment and infrastructure upgrades
  • Delegate work as needed to our APAC Team
  • Understand, champion and enforce security and compliance policies and procedures
  • Track work activity, service tickets, or project tickets in Jira, SharePoint and other project tracking tools
  • Participate in the on-call rotation and after-hours maintenance and deployment activities

Requirements

  • At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this System Administration position
  • Experience with Microsoft technologies in a multi-site environment including AD/Exchange server replication
  • Required skill(s): Microsoft Active Directory, TCP/IP, VMware/Microsoft Hyper-V
  • Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, bachelor’s degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent
  • Proficient in English Speaking, writing and reading
  • Experience with Service-now or other ITIL products a plus
  • Knowledge in AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle Cloud & SAP Cloud is a plus
  • Required some experience in Security and Compliance
  • Experience in support Linux environment is preferable
  • Experience in CI/CD (Jenkins/Hudson/GIT) is preferable
  • Ability to create scripts in Python, Perl or other language
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
